What to Include in a Plumbing Service Request

Explain the problem, the property and the work you need so your first conversation has a useful starting point.

Helpful Information

A Useful Starting Point for Your Request.

Start with What You Have Noticed

You do not need to diagnose a plumbing problem before requesting service. A useful first message explains what has changed, where you noticed it and how the issue affects the property. That is more helpful than choosing a repair method before anyone has discussed the system.

A dripping faucet, an unreliable hot-water supply and several slow drains are different starting points. Describe the observation in plain language. If you are requesting planned work, lead with the project goal instead of a symptom.

Identify the Affected Area

Name the fixture, room or system involved. If more than one area is affected, mention that. Include whether the property is a home, business or industrial facility so the request is framed around the right setting.

For example, “the kitchen sink has been draining slowly for several days” gives a clearer starting point than “the plumbing is bad.” For a business, it can help to identify the affected area and the person who can explain the issue or coordinate access.

Explain When the Concern Began

Tell the team when you first noticed the change and whether it happens consistently or comes and goes. Mention any relevant work or service history you already know about. You do not need to inspect hidden piping to provide a useful description.

If the concern is recurring, say so. A record of what you have observed can help keep the discussion focused. Avoid guessing at a cause simply because a similar problem happened before.

Distinguish Repair from a Planned Project

An existing concern and a planned installation need different information. For a repair request, describe the symptoms. For replacement, remodeling or new construction, explain the intended outcome, the project stage and the equipment or fixtures involved.

Freedom offers dedicated service paths for water heaters, water lines, drains, sewer concerns, repiping, septic systems, lift stations and sump pumps. The service directory helps you find the right topic, while the request description explains the details of your property.

Share the Location and Contact Details

Include the service address or location information requested by the team, your ZIP code and a phone number where the responsible person can be reached. Tell the team about access coordination or scheduling considerations that you already know.

Freedom travels to customers across its North Georgia service area. A service-community page describes coverage; it is not an office address for customer visits. Discuss the actual address and request when contacting the team.

Use the Description Field to Bring It Together

A short, complete description can combine the affected area, the change you noticed, when it began and the work you want to discuss. The form lets you select Plumbing or Electrical, then add the details in Description.

For example: “Plumbing request at a residential property. The hot-water supply has become unreliable. I want to discuss service for the existing unit and can share the equipment information I already have.” This is an example of how to organize a request, not a diagnosis or a quote.

Choose a Clear Next Step

For a plumbing request, call Freedom at 770-977-9300 or use the contact form on the website. Plumbing service and call answering are available 24/7. Discuss the scope and availability for the actual concern.

The useful next step is a conversation about your property and what you need. The service description does not establish an arrival time, repair method or price for a particular job.
